Golf can be super intimidating, but that's what's so special about Applewood: No snooty vibes here. We're your second family. We welcome golfers of all ages and abilities with open arms and have been a meeting place for the community since the 60s.
Therefore, we've teamed up with the NGF and Colorado PGA to bring you Welcome2Golf, an incredible initiative for beginner golfers. And this year, our lesson center is offering a super affordable clinic package.

Landon Willett
With one of the strongest teaching backgrounds around Colorado, Landon grew up in Missouri working with short game expert Stan Utley. Landon has also worked with Craig Koy and Erik Billinger out of Highlands Ranch, CO for many years, and started working with renowned teaching professional Tim Pratt in 2014. Landon played college golf at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO, and decided to play professional golf after graduating in 2011.
Landon turned his full time focus to teaching in 2014 and has helped many golfers ranging from beginners to tour professionals, including helping numerous top juniors, and collegiate players. Landon's teaching approach stems from his experience and broad knowledge base. For ages 5 - 16. All abilities are welcome!
Both girls and boys are welcome. Instruction is based on swing mechanics, short game, practice skills, etiquette and rules. All levels are welcome and based on individual needs. Group sizes will be seven juniors per instructor.
*Discounted pricing for returning campers is $249 and $199 for second/multiple camps and siblings. (More info below.)

There will be an opportunity to do a mixture of both morning and afternoon camps on the same day. We will not be providing lunch for children who participate in full-day camps.
If the full-day option works for you, it costs $299 for the morning session ($249 for returning) and $199 for the afternoon session. Also, it would be $199 for any morning or afternoon session after that for the rest of the summer no matter how many sessions you want to sign up for.
What are the times and days the junior golf camp is scheduled?

The morning camp is a 5 day long camp (Monday thru Friday) and is 8:30am to 12pm each day.
The afternoon camp is a 5 day long camp (Monday thru Friday), and is 12:30pm to 3:30pm each day.
Is there a difference between the morning camp and afternoon camp?

Yes, the morning camp is a station rotation style camp with the instructors where your children are going to learn the basic fundamentals with full swing, chipping and putting.
We take the children out on the golf course to play 9 holes in the afternoon camp. Yes, the children will receive instruction and course management advice while they playing 9 holes, but this is a faster paced camp due to needing to keep up pace of play out on the course.

Yes, we have many parents that choose to have their children participate in both camps. Parents choose this option for their children because of the amount of instruction they will receive in the morning camp, and then their children get to apply what they have learned on the golf course in the afternoon.
What is the cost of the junior golf camps?
What is the cost of the junior golf camps?
The junior camps are $299 for any half day week long camp. We do provide a discount for siblings as well. It’s is $199 for the second child if you have multiple children participating in the same week.
We also provide a multi camp discount if your child/children participate in multiple half day camp weeks in the summer. After the first camp - the price is $199 per child no matter how many camp weeks your child/children participate in.

No, we do not have a dress code for children at Applewood. Golf attire is encouraged, but T-shirts, shorts, and sneakers are fine.
